Privacy Policy

Fem Entity Lifestyle Consultation Corp. (“Fem Entity”, “we”, “us” or “our”) would like to inform you about how we use the information we collect when you visit our website, use our application, visit or interact with our pages on social networks or when you retain our services. This Policy is intended to define and help you understand our practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure and retention of personal information.

1. Who are we and what is our commitment?

Fem Entity is a Nova Scotia-based company specializing in digital wellness services and personalized health navigation for women. Through our website and application, we offer a digital platform that connects users with certified wellness practitioners, delivers personalized health recommendations, and supports women’s holistic well-being. 

Fem Entity is the “Data controller” of the personal information of its website visitors and customers (“you” or “your”).  Fem Entity is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information entrusted to us. We recognize that privacy is an essential element of public trust.

By providing us with personal information, you consent to its processing as set out in this Privacy Policy, and you authorize Fem Entity, its third parties and service providers to process your personal information for the purposes set out below.

Please note that Fem Entity’s website may contain links to websites operated by third parties, including the links contained on the Directory web page; these links are provided solely as a convenience to you. Fem Entity has no control over third-party websites. Any personal information you transmit through these sites is subject to the privacy policies of those sites. Therefore, the presence of such link on our website does not in any way engage the liability of Fem Entity.

 2. What is “personal information”?

In this Policy, “personal information” means any information (regardless of format) about an individual that directly or indirectly identifies that individual, such as name, home address, date of birth, etc. Information that is anonymized or aggregated and cannot be associated directly or indirectly with an identifiable individual is not considered personal information.

3. What personal information do we collect and how?

We may collect certain personal information about you in the following circumstances:

  • When you contact us, we collect your login and contact information, including your name, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as the information contained in your request.
  • When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your e-mail address.
  • When you interact with our social media accounts, such as Instagram or LinkedIn, for example if you “like” our page or make comments, we may collect certain information about you, such as your name and profile picture. The information we collect depends on what these social networks share with us and the privacy settings you have selected.   • When you visit our website, we may collect certain technical information, such as cookies, about your browser or device and your use of the website. This information may include information about your visit to or use of our website, including the IP address of your device or computer and the browser you used to access the website.   • When you subscribe to services, we may collect contact information as well as billing information such as a billing address, bank details or any other payment system data.

Please note that if you provide us with personal information about other persons (such as an employee), you must ensure that you have duly notified them that you are providing us with their information and that you have obtained their consent to such disclosure.


3.1. Do we receive personal information from third parties?

We may obtain Personal Information from third parties, both private and public (such as social networks, health practitioners, etc.). Any Personal Information that is not collected directly from you will be collected in accordance with the applicable legislation.

3.2. Children’s policy

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 14, unless such information is required for the provision of services to our customers. If you are under 14 years of age, please do not submit any personal information to us without the express consent of your parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 14 without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete such information from our records.

  • To provide the services and connect you with the appropriate health practitioner
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with our customers, including account administration, billing and collecting due payments.
  • To facilitate the use of our website or application and ensure that content is relevant and presented in the most effective way for you and your device.
  • To develop our business and for marketing purposes, including through our newsletter.
  • Recruit staff and evaluate your job application.
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements.
  • Any other purpose for which you have consented at the time of collection, or which is permitted by law. 

In accordance with applicable legislation, Fem Entity limits the collection of personal information to that which is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is collected.

5. Who can access your personal information?

Your personal information may be shared with the following persons to achieve the purposes indicated in the section above or otherwise with your consent:

  • Fem Entity employees who have the authority and need to access personal information to perform their duties.
  • Health practitioners.
  • Certain entities that assist us in providing our services, such as subcontractors and third-party service providers who assist us in, including but not limited to, accounting management, e-mailing, legal advice, debt collection, services related to our website, data storage and IT support. These service providers have access to the personal information they need to perform their tasks and may not use this information for any purpose other than fulfilling their mandate. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of such information.
  • A buyer or investor in the case of an investment in or sale of our company.

We may also share personal information in other situations, such as with government authorities, when required by law.

In most cases, Fem Entity will obtain the necessary Personal Information directly from you, with your consent. Subject to the exceptions provided by law.

8. How and for how long do we keep your personal information?

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes identified in this Policy, or longer if required by law. When the intended use of personal information has been completed, the information is destroyed, deleted or made anonymous, unless we are required by law to retain it. 

Information held outside Canada

Fem Entity uses services from suppliers located in Canada. All your personal information is therefore stored in Canada.

Reasonable physical, technical and/or administrative safeguards and security measures have been implemented and are maintained to protect all personal information in Fem Entity’s custody or control from unauthorized access, use, modification, disclosure, accidental loss, or unlawful processing.
