Mukisa Kakembo - Chief Ethics Officer

Mukisa Kakembo is a lawyer and social entrepreneur who brings a deep commitment to equity and care to her work with Fem Entity. She graduated from Dalhousie University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology & International Development Studies, then from the Schulich School of Law in 2021, receiving both the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society President’s Leadership Award and the Race & the Law Essay Prize. Mukisa was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2022, worked for non-profit law firm PATH Legal for two years, then joined Torys LLP and was called to the Ontario Bar in March 2025.
Her most transformative work, however, began during one of the most difficult periods of her life. In 2020, while struggling with her mental health, Mukisa found it nearly impossible to access the right support. That experience led her to co-found Fem Entity, a digital wellness platform designed to make finding a therapist or practitioner who truly understands your needs as easy as opening an app. For Mukisa, Fem Entity is more than a tech solution—it’s a mission to create a community of care for women who are too often overlooked by traditional systems.
